Deaglan De Breadun

Deaglán de Bréadún is an award-winning journalist who has held a number of senior positions with The Irish Times, including Northern Editor, Foreign Affairs Correspondent, Irish Language Editor and most recently Political Correspondent.

His book, “The Far Side of Revenge: Making Peace in Northern Ireland” (Collins Press, Cork) is regarded as the definitive account of the Good Friday Agreement and its aftermath.

His many foreign assignments include the Middle East and a five-month stint in Moscow and he has interviewed Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arafat, Vaclav Havel, Kofi Annan, Senator George Mitchell, Mary Robinson and Lech Walesa.
