Tracey Emin is a surprise guest at this year’s RHA Annual. Meanwhile, over 1,000 aspiring exhibitors took their chances, with the jury selecting work from open submission in what can be a cruel business. Last year saw a substantial improvement in sales, admittedly from a low baseline, and hopes are high that economic improvement will be reflected in the fortunes of the 185th annual show.

The man some people call Kittser has experienced his ups and downs over the past 10 years, yet through it he has remained very much his own man, releasing non-typical music via his New Jackson alter-ego and keeping the bailiffs at a distance by being an integral part of David Gray’s touring band. Two nights at this fine venue will see him delving into his past while also delivering new tunes.
