Last Day Diary – Brian Duggan

Brian Duggan's new short film stems from his major VISUAL Carlow installation inspired by Michael Cimino's Heaven's Gate, about the Johnson County War in 1882 Wyoming. John Hurt, who had a major role in Heaven's Gate, reads from Last Day Diary, a sad, startling first-person account of the experiences of a doomed farmer, Nathan D Champion, targeted, besieged and murdered by hired killers. It's a meditation on migration, power and justice.
