Irish Times to participate in Impact Journalism Day

An annual initiative brings together 40 newspapers to publish innovative ideas for the future

Impact Journalism Day is an annual initiative that sees newspapers across Europe publish a news supplement on positive solutions for the future.

In its third year, the Sparksnews idea involves 40 media outlets, who together publish a supplement dedicated to finding concrete solutions for present-day problems, notably relating to social entrepreneurship and innovation that benefits society.

The project seeks to reinforce the power of the media in changing political and social landscapes.

The initiative also seeks to highlight how major issues are resolved in various countries.
