Many electronic music producers put great store in how anonymity allows them to keep the focus on the music rather than the personality.

In the case of Dutch DJ and longstanding resident at Berlin's Panorama Bar Steffi Doms, her music has always contained much grace, elegance and expression. Like debut album Yours & Mine, the new album is full of sounds which glow with warm-hearted nuances.

Doms has always mined the classic Detroit template for its more soulful shapes and tracks like Pip, Everyday Objects and Selfhood are moody club cuts which fit Doms' worldview like a glove.

When she does try something else, as in the jittery funk of Treasure Seeking, you still find her creating textures with great emotional heft. An album with rich, vibrant smarts from a producer who knows how to set and scope a scene.
