Melbourne artist Simon Okely has become a specialist in creating dreamy music evocative of a lost time and In A Mood is full of songs which cast the folky, wide-eyed pop of America's 1970s west coast in new clobber using electronic pulses and R&B textures and stylistics.

A social worker by day, Okely is someone who has listened and paid great attention to how past masters have sculpted and shaped their sounds.
