Pop Corner: Niall Horan is flirty and aloof, and is working with Adele’s team

Sadly, it's not an Interpol cover. Instead, it's a slinky slow dance with a funky bass line and a head-nod of a come-on from Horan. Of all the things to admire, we're besotted with the vocal uptick on "wantcha" before the chorus. It's both flirty and aloof and is enough to keep you coming back for more. However, the less said about the line in the chorus that goes "slow hands, like sweat dripping down our dirty laundry", the better.

Hero of the week is Lily Allen, who told the BBC that there are more women behind the scenes than ever before. "There are more girls getting involved in songwriting and production and it's brilliant. Things are happening. Truth and honesty is all I really had to offer. As long as I honed my craft and made sure I was being as honest and truthful as possible, then it justifies it. Get to know yourself because people will always connect to truth and honesty when it comes to music."

Meanwhile, Niall Horan said in a twitter Q&A that he worked Adele's team on his new single. "I worked with Julian Bunetta. I also wrote it with Tobias Jesso Jr, who I guess is most famous for writing When We Were Young with Adele. He's a great guy too, so we're happy with how things are going today."

Zero of the week is the fashion world, according to Miley Cyrus. She told Billboard: "Meanwhile, I think fashion has taken us a little bit downhill. I can only speak for the years that I've been alive, but I don't know if it has ever been so important to 'fit in'. It's not about standing out right now. Which is so weird, because it seems like for the really unique, smart kids in this generation, it's all about standing out. I love seeing these kids on Instagram that dress fucking dope. This whole world right now is so divided, in the arts, fashion -- everything."
