Pop Corner: Miley’s feeling Younger Now,

Pop Corner’s picks for Electric Picnic include Ailbhe Reddy, Alma and Eden.

TRACK OF THE WEEK: ‘Younger Now’ by Miley Cyrus

Miley's happily settling into her newest incarnation as a country singer, and it suits her well. Yes, we know, this down-home twist is bedfuddling to anyone who doesn't know her backstory. Let's not forget that Dolly Parton is Miley's actual (fairy) godmother (Miley's phrase), and that Miley grew up around country music. And while Younger Now isn't going to set the world on fire with its lyrics (sample: 'change is a thing you can count on'), her alto voice lends itself well to this mellow, self-penned track. If you dig a little deeper, the video is filled with nods to Elvis, from the custom outfits, to a scene where she recreates Wooden Heart with her own puppet. Cute, fun, and tongue-in-cheek. We're fans.

Hero of the week is Pink, who posted a relatable pic on Instagram – she's getting ready to go on stage, but is also nonchalantly pumping breast milk. The hashtag? #pumpupthejams #mombreak . The response? 300k likes so far.

Zero of the week is Katy Perry, who had to push back her Witness world tour due to production issues. She wrote: "Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week. I'll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait."

And now! A short break from our usual programming to give you lot an Electric Picnic heads up. We're delighted that some Pop Corner Track of The Week alumni are going to playing this weekend – from Eden's electronica, to Alma's bangers, to Lyra's swoonsome sounds, to Ailbhe Reddy's siren call. Catch them, like Pokemon, if you can. And if you have time? Attention Bebe put on the most fun and raucous show you'll see all weekend – think brass and strings-backed 90s dance medleys with outfits to match.
