Pop corner: Little Mix’s throwback tune and Demi’s skin-deep love

The latest pop news, including Bieber’s ample supply of Calvin Kleins

Track of the week

Black Magic - Little Mix
Oooh, Little Mix are here again, with a throwback banger. Mix a little Dance With Somebody Whitney with some Nutty-Professor-Sountrack Janet, and you'll have an idea of the vibe of this track.

Thematically, it’s about creating a love potion, but overall it makes us wish for a

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

reboot, so that Little Mix could come and perform it on the show. Joyous bubble and trouble.

Hero of the week is skincare, according to Demi Lovato.

She told Celebuzz: “When I suffered from body image issues, I knew that I could always take care of my skin. So the things that I wasn’t in control of, skincare, for me, was something that I knew I could take care of.

I throw around the phrase ‘skincare is self care’ a lot, but it really got me through several years of my life where that’s really the only way I was taking care of myself.”

She went on: “I think that anytime you’re taking care of yourself – whether it’s with washing your face or getting a massage or working out –- anytime that you’re taking care of yourself you’re doing something that is helping your self esteem.”

Zero of the week is re-using your underpants, Justin Bieber explained. Thanks to his endorsement deal with Calvin Klein (he's the face of the label, swanky!), he will never be short for underpants again. Justin told a US TV show: "They send me a lot, boxes and boxes of Calvin Kleins... Yeah, I definitely don't wear them twice. There's so many."

On the one-year anniversary of Don't Stop, Michael 5SOS can't quite take it all in, he told BBC Radio 1.

“We’ve been touring for like three years. We get the opportunity to travel the world – we’ve just started our arena tour and we just finished Europe.”

He continued: “It’s pretty unbelievable and I guess we just never thought we could make it to this point.

“But it’s damn cool that we have, and we just keep looking forward to the future.”
