Newfound Sounds for February

Paddy Hanna is known for his work with bands such as Grand Pocket Orchestra, but his debut solo album, Leafy Stiletto, proves that he's well able to hold his own. Masterkinder: Rainbows of my Mind by Scout Hardcastle features vocals, songwriting and production from Meljoann, and is essentially a side-project by the Dublin- based musician. Meljoann's electronic pop sounds are reminiscent of 1990s-era Janet Jackson, but with a strong experimental side. meljoann.com

Girl Band have always had a great youthful vigour about them, but their darker side is unleashed on their new single, Lawman.
