Longitude: get your bearings for Marlay Park

Must-see acts at this weekend’s festival in Rathfarnham

It's probably the most tightly honed line-up of any festival in Europe this summer. It is lauded as MCD's stand-alone entry into the cool end of the festival market. The weather will hold up; the punters are raring to go. So what will Longitude be like? Probably a dash of Electric Picnic (hipster line-up), a smidgen of Forbidden Fruit (a city festival with no camping), with a twist of Body & Soul (taking in some of the Marlay Park woods, complete with Maser-esque installations, cheeky).

Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, and Kraftwerk and their 3D gimmick are all at the top of the bill, but what about the rest? Keep up-to-date with reviews and video interviews all weekend on

Best of the Irish

Young Wonder
Tomorrow, Heineken Live Project Stage, 4.15pm
Blissed-out electronica with awesome vocals from these Corkonians who are remarkably underrated in their
homeland, yet getting bigger and bigger outside.

Le Galaxie
Tomorrow, Heineken Live Project Stage, 2pm
Probably the best Irish festival act right now. Disco vests at the ready, and try to pretend it's 2am, not 2pm.

Mmoths
Today, Heineken Live Project Stage, 5.30pm
Jack Colleran from Newbridge's
perfectly nuanced, super-chilled tunes.

Villagers
Tomorrow, Main Stage, 7.30pm
The big daddies of complex indie.

White Collar Boy
Today, Heineken Live Project Stage, 3.15pm
Banging sounds from these two bright sparks.
