Fastforward eight years, and the rapper who operates as Exile Eye can now be found at the wheel of Melodica Deathship, a vessel crewed by Deep Burial's George Brennan, Scary Eire's DJ Mek, Steve Von Till (Neurosis) and Simon Milligan (aka Epigon ADM). These sonic pirates deliver a rich, deep, intense palatte of dubby, smoky beats, which cros the tracks between hip-hop, electronica, dubstep, Irish trad and a few other sub-genres lurking in the water. The lure of the sea is a strong thematic influence here, be it in oddball sea-shanties (the creepy Ho!
