"This is a story about a hero" says the opening narration. It's one of the game's only plain sentences. With its intricate, epic story, elaborate, dizzying fight scenes and countless characters, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 – Full Burst is as unwieldy as its name. This is a rerelease of sorts, and includes new characters and missions. The story is a grandiose fantasy involving giant monsters, rogue ninjas and plenty of grievances. Sometimes you're trading blows with random opponents, but you'll also have conversations and open-world exploration. The animation is exquisite – an explosion of colour, strange locations and great creature design. It's like an interactive Manga movie, and a rare game that you'd yearn to play on a cinema screen. It's beautiful and plays well, but with its dense, muddled story, it feels strictly for genre fans. naruto-fullburst.com
