Mark Zuckerberg takes paternity leave upon arrival of second daughter

Facebook CEO posted details of the couple’s new arrival - named August - on Monday

Mark Zuckerberg is going on paternity leave after he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, welcomed their second daughter.

They named the new baby August, the Facebook chief executive officer wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, possibly in reference to the Roman emperor Augustus and the month of her birth. The couple's older daughter is named Maxima, also evoking ancient Rome.

“You only get to be a child once, so don’t spend it worrying too much about the future,” Zuckerberg and Chan wrote in a letter to August included in the post. “You’ve got us for that, and we’ll do everything we possibly can to make sure the world is a better place for you and all children in your generation.”
