One-liners, magic spells and lots of hacking and slashing. That's Sacred 3. With a silly tone and effective if rudimentary gameplay, this will appeal to fans of retro brawlers. You play one of a band of warriors resisting a tyrant, and you must mill through ogres, trolls and other monsters to bring justice to an unjust world. As in many beat-'em-ups, you choose a character based on the value you place on strength, agility and magic , and you augment and improve them as you progress. There are side missions for you to level-up when the main story inevitably gets too tough, and the multiplayer is cooperative, so you can join a brother- or sister-in-arms or host others in your campaign. The fighters are dwarfed by their surroundings, such as volcanoes and enormous buildings. And no matter how chaotic it appears, you can always discern what's what and who you're stabbing. deepsilver.com
