Wiki photo competition for Irish national monuments

The idea behind the competition is to preserve cultural heritage on a global scale

Wiki Loves Monuments is the world's largest photography competition and the Wikimedia Ireland Community is running it this year. The idea behind the competition is to preserve cultural heritage on a global scale by encouraging everyone to head out to the nearest national monument, take a picture and upload to the Wikimedia Commons where anyone can use it. There's no limit to the number of images you can enter but they must be on the list of approved monuments on the competition website. The prizes are modest (€25-€200) but you will be credited as photographer. There are plenty of monuments (Howth Church, Grange Abbey) with no pictures, so be the first to document them. The closing date is September 30th.
