Start-up accelerator programme looking for new companies

SOS Ventures-backed Selr8r helps tech innovators to sell

A sales accelerator programme for start-ups, based in Cork, is looking for tech innovators who can join its second class, beginning May 20th. With the first class graduating from the SOS Ventures-backed Selr8r programme on April 12th, one of the initiative's co-founders, Alan Clayton says they're looking for "genuinely scalable" companies to sign up over the coming weeks.

The 50-day programme sees companies given funds, technical back-up, sales and media training, telesales, marketing and design services as well as mentoring and workspace at the offices of the programme's co-sponsor, outsourcing provider Intercall.

"The first cohort is about to graduate with flying colours and tonnes of traction," says one of the programme's mentors, entrepreneur Bill Liao, with Clayton adding that while non-tech-focused companies are welcome IT-based start-ups are "by definition more likely" to suit the programme as "those are the companies who – if they have something of value – it's easy to scale".

Neil O’Callaghan is CEO of Connect Controls, which focuses on creating building control technology and is one of the first class of graduates from Selr8r’s debut 50-day run.
