Mayo firm CloudStrong to create 19 jobs as it eyes UK market

Mayo-based cloud services firm CloudStrong is to add 19 jobs, tripling its workforce as it looks to build its business in the UK.

The company, which is one of Enterprise Ireland’s high potential start-ups, will create roles in sales and marketing, along with some technical positions.

The new jobs were announced by Taoiseach Enda Kenny

“It is hugely encouraging to see an Irish technology company like CloudStrong creating new jobs in the west,” he said. “It is good news for the local region and it is also good news for the fast-growing cloud computing sector.”

CloudStrong, which is based in Castlebar, provides cloud services to the ICT sector. Founded in 2011, the firm has begun ramping up its export drive to the UK, where it is targeting sales of €1.1 million by 2016.

CloudStrong managing director Oliver Surdival said the main driver for the firm was the continued adoption of cloud solutions in the small and medium enterprise market.

“The team at CloudStrong has built a solid reputation in delivering complex SME projects to the cloud,” he said.
