Brown Thomas to take on 200 seasonal workers

Luxury retail store Brown Thomas has announced it is to hire 200 seasonal workers in Dublin in the run up to the peak Christmas season.

The roles being advertised include sales consultants, sales support, cashiers and store ambassadors on both a part-time and full-time temporary basis.

The announcement comes two weeks after Argos said it was to take on 500 seasonal workers across Ireland for the Christmas period.

Brown Thomas, which is part of the Wittington Investment Group that also includes Selfridges, is a luxury clothing and lifestyle goods retailer with department stores in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. It also runs a number of stores under the BT2 brand name.

The company, which announced a €143.5 million turnover last year, currently employs about 800 staff.
