Warning issued on Thüngen Financial (Luxembourg)

Firm is not authorised as an investment firm in Ireland Central Bank says

The Central Bank of Ireland has today issued a warning to consumers that Thüngen Financial (Luxembourg) has not been authorised as an investment firm by the Central Bank.

Anyone wishing to contact the Central Bank with information regarding this firm, or any other unauthorised firms trading as investment firms may telephone (01) 224 4000.

According to the Central Bank, it is a criminal offence for an unauthorised person or firm to provide financial services in Ireland that would require an authorisation under the relevant legislation for which the Central Bank is the responsible body for enforcing. Consumers should be aware that if they deal with a person or firm which is not authorised, they are not eligible for compensation from the Investor Compensation Scheme.
