IBRC to begin moving staff to former Nationwide HQ
Irish Bank Resolution Corporation – the former Anglo Irish Bank, which is also managing the wind-down of Irish Nationwide – will start moving one-third of its staff to the former building society’s one time head office in Dublin over the coming weeks.
The nationalised bank told staff it would start relocating employees to the building from now until mid-December under plans to reduce the bank’s rental bill by vacating offices.
IBRC will move up to 350 staff to the building, which was owned by Irish Nationwide.
The bank plans to vacate a building on Baggot Street, which it had been leasing, by the end of the year to cut its rental bill.
Notice has been served to vacate the Baggot Street office.
Staff will also move to the Grand Parade offices from Anglo’s former head office on St Stephen’s Green. IBRC management will remain in the bank’s nearby head office further down the Grand Canal at Burlington Road, Dublin 4.
The relocation follows 13 weeks of repair and renovation work at the building.
