Eventelephant creditors told no hope of money being returned

Liquidators hold meeting in Dublin hotel

Charities, non-profit organisations and other creditors owed €1.5 million by Eventelephant Ltd, a promotions facilitator now in liquidation, were told last week there was no prospect of their money being retrieved.

The meeting in a Dublin hotel, by liquidators Joseph Walsh and Neil Hughes of Hughes Blake, was “held as a courtesy for creditors”, according to Anna Walsh, who is a director of Theatre Forum Ltd of Temple Bar, Dublin.

The performing arts organisation is owed some €20,000.

Other parties owed money are understood to include Arsenal and Newcastle soccer clubs, the IRFU, British Airways, the Law Society, RTÉ, An Post, the Dungarvan Chamber of Commerce and Debra Ireland, a charity supporting people who suffer from a genetic skin condition.
