Aldi Ireland to donate €840,000 to Foróige

Supermarket chain will encourage staff to get involved in charity work

Aldi Ireland is to give €840,000 in support to youth development organisation Foróige over the course of its current three-year partnership.

Aldi also confirmed the establishment of a network of more than 120 Charity Champions in its stores to co-ordinate the programme, work closely with local charities and encourage Aldi staff involvement.

Foróige works with more than 56,000 people aged between 10 and 18 years old and 6,000 volunteers each year through a network of more than 600 youth clubs and cafes, 147 targeted projects such as the Big Brother, Big Sister youth mentoring programme and national programmes such as Citizenship, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
