Irish Chamber in Hong Kong introduces mentorship programme

The Irish Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, together with its partner organisation the Irish Macau Chamber of Commerce, is collaborating with the Consulate General in the territory on a mentorship programme.

"The aim of the programme is to facilitate and support engagement between the more experienced contacts drawn from the Irish community and 'Friends of Ireland' in Hong Kong and Macau," the chamber said in a statement.

The programme will run for six months from September to February, using the Irish Executive Mentorship Programme platform supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The mentors are typically mid- to late-career executives and entrepreneurs willing to share their experience and guide early- to mid-career counterparts towards accomplishing key professional goals.

The mentors will volunteer one to two hours per month, for six months.

The participants will be early- to mid-career executives or entrepreneurs looking to learn from experience and work towards accomplishing meaningful professional goals to achieve greater success in business.

They will dedicate at least two hours per month, for six months, preparing for and participating in meetings with the mentor.
