Insurer FBD has announced the retirement of executive director Adrian Taheny, who was in charge of sales and marketing, from the company and the board for health reasons.

Mr Taheny has held that role since 2007. He joined FBD in 1997 from EBS building society.

“Adrian has been a key contributor to the development of FBD’s successful sales and marketing strategy, including the transformation of direct and online customer services, product distribution and innovative advertising campaigns,” said FBD chief executive Andrew Langford.

“His contribution to the group over an extended period of time has been substantial.
