National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference

Some 3,000 people are expected to visit the annual National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference taking place at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin tomorrow.

The event which connects key stakeholders from across the full spectrum of Irish manufacturing, including the food, pharmaceutical,medical, chemical, life sciences and electronics manufacturing sectors, is the largest ever gathering of the manufacturing community in Ireland.

More than 200 speakers will take to the stage at the event, to discuss topics including; logistics, packaging, 3D printing, nanotechnology, traceability, product design, automation and control.

The speakers include Irish Exporters Association chief executive Simon McKeever, Bord na Mona director of innovation Hugh Henry, Biopharmachem Ireland director Matt Moran, UDG healthcare group risk and compliance manager Laura Smith, Lily O Briens operations manager Eamonn Redmond and Óonagh McArdle, lead supply chain sustainability specialist at Dow Chemical.

The event will also feature a Jobs Expo area, aimed at highlighting the employment opportunities available throughout the Irish manufacturing and supply chain sectors.

One the same day, the National Sustainability Conference is also taking place in the Citywest Hotel.

The event will feature more than 150 speakers including Dawn Meats group head of CSR David O’Flynn and Wasim Haskiva, energy and sustainability engineer with Keelings.

Wednesday
