An Post hosting Dublin and Cork conferences to help SMEs

An Post will host two conferences this week, in Cork and Dublin, with the aim of helping SMEs grow their business.

The conferences are designed to support SMEs and entrepreneurs, with a diverse range of expert speakers to help position business owners for optimal business success next year.

Fiona Heffernan of An Post said the conference can help business owners plan and maximise the potential of what next year has to bring both online and offline.

“It is going to be a very important year for business in Ireland, so it makes sense for our Grow My Business speakers to focus on sharing some ideas and plans for what promises to be a very exciting 12 months ahead,” she said.

“The key themes this year relate to online retailing and the expectations for inbound tourism in 2016.”

The director of Ireland 2016, John Concannon, will reveal his views on how the expected increase in inbound tourism will make its mark on Ireland’s businesses, and how from a practical perspective businesses can gear-up to capitalise on the opportunity this presents in 2016.

Gary Brown, chairman of ad agency Target McConnells, will provide practical tips and perspectives on how to grow customers while sharing his insights on the challenges for Irish business owners.

The Irish rugby team’s mindset coach Enda McNulty will discuss the skills required to be focused in business to optimise success and capitalise on the opportunities presented in the year ahead.

Elsewhere, the Data centres Ireland conference is taking place in the RDS tomorrow. The event is a one-stop shop for information on data centre construction and management.

There will be an exhibition and conference addressing every aspect of planning, designing and operating data centres, server rooms, storage facilities or solutions.
