Skechers among new faces at Whitewater shopping centre

Footwear specialist Skechers has just opened its 10th Irish store at the Whitewater shopping centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

Skechers is occupying the former Karen Millen store of 225sq m (2,418sq ft) on a 10-year lease at a rent of around €95,000 per annum with a nine-month rent-free period.

Daniel McLaughlin of Bannon, who acted for the landlord, said: “Skechers adds another dimension to the strong tenant line-up at Whitewater. With the continued improvement in the economy the centre has witnessed a 10 per cent increase in footfall in 2015.”

Elsewhere in the centre, jewellery kiosk retailer Tianmix has taken a four-year and nine-month lease at a rent of €25,000 per annum.

In addition, joint letting agents Bannon and Savills have four further lettings agreed and in legals to leading UK and national brands which will continue to strengthen the centre’s tenant mix and retail offering.
