Seven retailers take space at Monaghan shopping centre

Agent JLL has had significant success at Monaghan Shopping Centre, where it has let five shops and two kiosks since the first quarter of the year.

Kevin Daly of JLL says despite the difficult conditions for traders nationwide, recent transactions at Monaghan indicated a return in retailer confidence to a well-anchored and dominant regional centre.

Stephen Murray, also of JLL, and Darren Peavoy of Bannon agreed terms for Carphone Warehouse to move into an 84sq m (908sq ft) unit with 11 years to run on the lease.

Other new arrivals were E-Mobile, Exhibit Fashions, the children's fashion brand Name It and Vera Moda.
