Partially completed housing estate in Athy for sale for €750,000

A partially completed housing estate in Athy, Co Kildare, is fresh to the market this week through Knight Frank for €750,000.

Included in this receiver sale is one four-bedroom detached showhouse, seven substantially completed four-bed detached houses and three sealed “shell and core” houses.

There are also eight ready-to-go sites for four-bed semis and 10 sites for four-bed detached houses where the planning permission has lapsed. All the houses and sites are in the Gallows Hill development on Geraldine Road, Athy.

This development is close to the Clanard Court Hotel and Athy Golf Club.

Athy grew considerably during the boom and its population now stands at over 10,000. It benefits from a good road network, with the N71 providing easy access to the M9 (exit three is within 10km) and the M7 (exit 15 is within 20km). The town’s train station has regular commuter services to Dublin.

Finín O’Driscoll of Knight Frank says Gallows Hill provides a purchaser with the ability to be offering houses for sale in a relatively short timeframe, given the level of completion of most of the units.
