Law firm William Fry confirms move to 2 Grand Canal Square

The corporate law firm William Fry has confirmed that it is to move its Dublin headquarters to 2 Grand Canal Square in the docklands towards the end of 2014. The company is to rent about 9,290sq m (100,000sq ft) from Chartered Land to accommodate almost 400 staff.

Managing partner Myra Garrett said the move was a key step in William Fry's growth plans, bringing the firm to the heart of Ireland's financial, legal and technology centre. "It will provide us with superb modern office accommodation for our existing staff and for planned recruitment to meet the needs of the growing portfolio of clients that we work with in Ireland and internationally."

Number 2 Grand Canal Square was previously occupied for over a year by solicitors Byrne Wallace before it opted to return to its original offices on Harcourt Street.

William Fry’s current lease of Fitzwilliam House at Wilton Place has another nine years to run. It pays €3 million a year in rent.
