Andrew Rudd to open bistro on Fleet Street

Chef plans to launch new Medley business in former premises of ‘Irish Times’ in new year

Part of the long vacant former premises of The Irish Times at Fleet Street, Dublin 2, is to be fitted out as a café and bistro as well as a corporate dining facility.

Chef Andrew Rudd, who has been running cookery demonstrations in Drury Street, is planning to launch his new Medley business in February. He is to rent a double height glass-fronted building extending to 421sq m (4,528sq ft) which will also accommodate weddings, birthdays, fashion shows and corporate team building.

The upper floors of the building are rented by the Irish Aviation Authority.

Letting agent Niamh Sheahan of CBRE said the arrival of Medley and other retailers would help to revitalise the area around The Times Building on D'Olier Street and Fleet Street.
