The annual traditional music festival run under the auspices of the cultural group, An Droichead, will be held in Belfast between Thursday 26th and Monday 30th of August. Groups taking part include: Buille; Líadan; Guidewires; Lúmiere; Damien O’Kane Trio and the Kathleen MacInnes Band. There will also be a weekend Irish-language course and courses in the tin whistle, guitar and banjo (or, as it is known in Irish, an banjó,) and traditional sessions in The Ulster Museum, the Europa Hotel and Madden’s Bar.
