The first in a new series of Irish-language events will take place in the Writers’ Centre/Áras na Scríbhneoirí, Parnell Square, Dublin, tonight at 7.30pm. Novelists Seán Mac Mathúna, Ruaidhrí Ó Báille and Ríona Nic Congáil will all read extracts from their work. All three have well-deserved reputations as excellent writers. Writer and series organiser, Mícheál Ó Ruairc, will act as fear an tí. The event is free and there will be sóláistí – sóláistí being the Irish for “posh nibbles”.
