Alas, I could not make the Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival as I am in (place drop) Mexico to report on James Bond. But m’colleague Tara Brady, President of that body, decided that the awards could take place without me. Really? Anyway, having watched the video, I feel very much as if I were there. I did vote for the gongs and approve of awarding of best film to Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy’s extraordinary The Tribe.
