Evangelion at the Light House

The excellent Japanese Anime trilogy is playing at the Light House. What a bargain.

Did you enjoy the recent Pacific Rim? Did you watch Pacific Rim and think: “Oh for goodness sake, that’s just a pale riff on the excellent Japanese Evangelion series of films and TV adventures. What the heck! Is there nothing original under heaven and earth? Oh God. I wish I could see the entire Evangelion movie trilogy in an attractive urban cinema. The sort of place that serves decent coffee and craft beer, perhaps.”

Well, either way, you’re in luck. There are, at point of posting, still a few tickets left for the all-day screening of these terrific animations at the Light House cinema in Smithfield today Presented by the Japanese Film Festival and our good friends at Access cinema, the event  kicks off at 12.00 noon with Evangelion 1.0 and continues with giant-monster action until early evening. A special three-film ticket is available for €19:50 when booked at the box office. Bang! Clatter! Clash! It’s hard to think of a better way to spend a November afternoon.
