It was a strange ride, but the good news is that, in the last few days, a masterpiece arrived and — surprise, surprise — it actually managed to win the Palme d’Or. Yes, the victory by Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Uncle Boonwee Who Can Recall His Past Lives really made sense of Cannes 2010. On my way out, I turn and photograph myself on the stairs. Regarde! C’est moi dans le miroir sous La Salle Buñuel. C’est surreal. Non?
