SXSW is on the horizon, and I’m busy cursing at event invites cramming my inbox because I’m not going this year. While SXSW usually gets most attention in these parts for its music element, there’s some decent Irish film representing in 2014 too.

The world premiere of Patrick’s Day by Terry McMahon will happen in Austin next month, and Box Room (Michael Lathrop) and Frank feature too. But check out the trailer for this Irish animation, Coda which has also been selected.

This nine-minute long hand drawn animation is directed by Alan Holly, and produced under the Frameworks animation scheme which is funded by the Irish Film Board, RTE, and the Arts Council.
