My buddy Katryna who I’m visiting in Toronto soon alerted me to an exhibition that started at AGO (Art Gallery Ontario) this month and runs until May. Patti Smith: Camera Solo is a collection of Smith’s polaroids, which was originally organised by Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut and traveled to Toronto from Detroit.

The photographs – around 70 of them – are a mixture of polaroids from her own person collection, some from the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, and a few from private collectors. And the exhibition will also feature ‘Equation Daumal’, a short film directed by Smith and shot on 16mm and super 8.
