The IFI’s annual Halloween film festival, the Horrorthon kicks off on Thursday with five days of screams across the Temple Bar cinema’s screens.

You can download the festival programme in PDF form here.

I saw Room 237 last week, and it’s a must for fans of The Shining, Kubrick and conspiracy theories alike. That screens on Thursday at 9.50pm.

Also worth a look is the festival opener Antiviral, a film by Brandon Cronenberg, son of David, which has so far screened at Cannes and (a slightly shorter version) at Toronto.
