One of the most highly anticipated films of the summer has got to be amazing, right? RIGHT? Well, no, not really. But, but, but it’s Ridley Scott, and it’s got Michael Fassbender (now is not a good time to mention that Haywire also had Michael Fassbender), and the hype campaign was amazing – all those intriguing videos and TED talks from the future? ALIEN! Come on! Soz. Behold, a galaxy of three stars.

Donald Clarke says it’s “much ado about not much”.

The Daily Mail Mail says “depth is an alien concept” to Ridley.

The Guardian likes Fassbender but not much else.

Not everyone think it’s meh, the Huffington Post gives it a good if garbled review.

OH WELL. The ball is in your court, Dark Knight.
