Every week this Q&A will find out what various heads in music, film, fashion, theatre, bukes, performance, tech stuff, and whatever else are consuming.

Michael Roe is the label manager of the Richter Collective, a band manager (Cast Of Cheers, Squarehead), and the drummer in Adebisi Shank.

What are you reading?
Taking a ridiculously long time but reading Fordlandia by Greg Grandin which is about Henry Ford’s Amazonian Rainforest town. I’m so slow at reading because I never make the time but it’s a fascinating book.

Last film you saw and your verdict?
Melencholia. I found the first half slower than a slug racing a glacier but second half more than makes up for it. I’m not really a Lars von Trier fan and wanted to dislike everything about the film but despite myself, enjoyed it.

You have a golden ticket to Easons, what magazine is first on your list?
Empire, followed by a load of games magazines. Love films and used to love games but sadly don’t have the time to play them any more, used to put in ridiculous amount of hours gaming so it evens out and still want to know what’s going on in the gaming world.

What are your most clicked bookmarks?
Mostly football related, Fantasy Premier League (sad) and (my beloved) Everton websites. I love most sports, I denied that I liked them for years due to the fact that you just couldn’t like rock music and sports growing up, just like you couldn’t like SEGA & Nintendo so it makes me happy to be free to enjoy what I like as an adult.

When you fall into a YouTube hole what’s the general subject matter of the videos you’re watching?
Pretty much only music stuff. Interviews, sessions, live shows….any type of music….love it all.

What track should we listen to right now?
Maps & Atlases – ‘Winter’. It’s got everything I love in a song…fun, smart, energetic and catchy.

Which boxset/TV series do you have on the go at the moment?
Just finished Breaking Bad latest season. Wasn’t sure I could prefer any show to The Wire but I was wrong.

Last gig you went to and your verdict?
Went so see Russian Circles in Button Factory with Deafheaven & Enemies. Show was incredible because I got to see a lot of old friends I haven’t seen in a long time (and also three AWESOME bands).

Which app do you use the most?
This American Life. OBSESSED with the podcast and have to download it via their app.

And finally, if you listen to one album this month, make it…
Delicate Steve – Wondervisions. I know it’s very old now but it’s coming back in to sunny season so need to get back in the summer mood. Plus, new album is due in July so it’s a good time for a re-listen of this criminally overlooked album.

Check out the next Richter Collective gig at the Button Factory on May 30th featuring Tera Melos, Jogging and Spies.
