Every week, we highlight a couple of new acts from around the globe who’ve caught our attention. Please feel free to share tips with us or check out all past New Music selections here.

Sam Gellaitry

The young lad from Stirling with the magic fingers when it comes to electronic music full of spirit, heart and emotion. His “Short Stories” EP for Soulection from a while back was a fantastic introduction to what he was about, but his recent cuts for XL show that he’s a talent coming into focus very quickly. Check out “Jungle Waters” from Gellaitry’s forthcoming “Escapism III” EP below and get set for another ecstatic wave from Scotland.

Ten Fé

London based duo Ben Moorhouse and Leo Duncan will be making all the right noises in the coming months thanks to their Ewan Pearson-produced debut album “Hit the Light”. It’s a record full of sparkling songs which are able to get to the next level thanks to the band’s love of a strong groove and melody. Check out “Turn” for a taste of their style.

Loren North

“Feel It Out” is the tune which will make plenty of folk take notice of this new indie-pop truth seeker. Taken from the Los Angeles singer’s debut EP “Starlight”, it shows North’s strong command of how to blend slow-burning dramatic vocals, cinematic poise in the atmospheric department and the kind of hook you’ll remember a few hours later.
