When it comes to life past and present in Dublin city, Come Here To Me is your only man. A group blog detailing the ins and outs of Dublin’s history, it’s already produced an excellent book as well as a website full of a startling amount of information and detail you didn’t know about the capital city.

Come Here To me also produce occasional nights out under the Dublin Songs & Stories moniker and their next one happens next Sunday, December 18, at The Sugar Club. It’s a special event in support of a CHTM friend Mags Forka who needs to raise €80,000 for a life-changing operation.

You’ll have talks and interviews with such sounders as football manager and pundit (and massive music fan) Brian Kerr, documentary maker Aoife Kelleher (who was awesome at Banter at Other Voices earlier this month), artist and painter James Earley, Anu theatre company’s Louise Lowe (These Rooms was one of the cultural highlights of 2016) and illustrator and graphic designer Fuchsia MacAree. There will also be music from Cian Nugent, Danny Diamond (the dude from Slow Moving Clouds and other parts north, south, east and west), and the hugely talnted Black Bank Folk.

Tickets are now available for just a tenner and will be €12.50 on the door on the night. Doors open at 7pm and the action kicks off at 7.30pm. More information here.
