The best albums released in the last six months IMHO

Anyone for an aul’ list? Here be the 30 best albums of 2014 so far in our humble opinion. They’re all below (in roughly the right order) with a link in each case to a stream plus my album review and/or artist interview from the paper.

Of course, by the time we get around to compiling the real Best of 2014 list in six months’ time, there may well be some additions and subtractions. For instance, I reckon there will have to spaces on the list for new albums from Shabazz Palaces, Jungle, Caribou, Basement Jaxx and Jessie Ware. I’ve also got to get around to listening to that Lana Del Rey album. Let me know your thoughts on the ones that made the list – and the ones that didn’t – below.
