Slint, Dublin, August

The hugely influential Slint visit Dublin later this summer

Wed, Jun 11, 2014, 10:18

Here’s a gig announcement to relish: one of the finest (if unheralded at the time) American bands of the last few decades, the mighty Slint hit Dublin’s Button Factory on August 19. Slint are enjoying a moment in the sun of late thanks to Breadcrumb Trail, Lance Bangs’ documentary on the band and a welcome lavish reissue of their classic 1991 “Spiderland” album, the one which inspired and infuenced a generation of acts. Great piece by Dave Simpson on the band and album here. Tickets for the Dublin show go on sale on Friday and are €28 (plus fees) each.
