From the paper: Ensemble Ériu

A conversation about trad past, present and future with Jack Talty

Tue, Apr 15, 2014, 14:00

One of the finest Irish albums of 2013 was the self-titled debut from Ensemble Ériu. Helmed by Claremen Jack Talty and Neil O’Loghlen, Ensemble Ériu’s debut album was a fine-toned set of intriguing passages which showed just how much magic could be created by putting trad, classical, jazz and ambient minimalism together.

Ahead of some shows around the country from the weekend, I spoke to Talty about the band, the album and his views on the current state of the trad nation and you’ll find that interview from today’s newspaper here.
