An impressive start to proceedings for the Body & Soul festival’s fifth outing, which takes place at Ballinlough Castle, Co Westmeath from June 20 to 22

Acts on the bill include

Goldfrapp (look, there’s always one. Music for boring people, made by boring people)
Caribou (hell yeah!)
John Grant (check out the Banter interview with him from Other Voices in Dingle last December here)
Darkside (just as well as their Dublin show next month is sold out)
Jon Hopkins (always a treat)
Mount Kimbie
Buraka Som Sistema
Nick Waterhouse
(new album is quite tasty)
East India Youth (press release says it’s his “first ever Irish show” which will be news to those who saw him in Derry eaelier this month, the 20 people who saw him at Longitude last summer and those who will see him supporting Wild Beasts next month. His “fourth ever Irish show” doesn’t soumd as impressive, mind)
Young Wonder (two thumbs up)
Jessy Lanza (yes!)
King Kong Company

Many more to be announced.

Tickets: limited “Tier 4″ tickets are now on sale at €129.50 (plus Ticketmaster summer tax), while “Tier 5″ tickets go on sale on March 31 at €139.50 (plus Ticketmaster dancing hippies tax).
