Competition: win tickets to Young Hearts Run Free
Ring in the new year in Dublin with Young Hearts Run Free at their Christ Church Cathedral gala concert
We’re long-time admirers of Young Hearts Run Free, the Dublin-based collective who have been putting on arts, music and literature happenings in aid of the Simon Community in various venues around Dublin since 2008. They’ve also featured at Iceland Airwaves and Dublin Fringe and have featured performances and contributions from artists like President Michael D. Higgins, Paul Muldoon, Villagers, Mike Scott, Andy Irvine, David O’Doherty, Kevin Barry, Dónal Lunny, Lisa O’Neill, The Spook of the Thirteenth Lock, Mossy Nolan and dozens more.
Their next event is the Christ Church Cathedral Gala Concert on New Year’s Eve with Moonface, Alasdair Roberts, Dónal Lunny, Anderson, Iarla Ó Lionáird, NiamhMcCormackSings and many more. There will also be DJ sets from Ed Smith and Daragh O’Halloran.
Admission to the event is €45 but, thanks to the organisers, we have a pair of tickets to give away for this really special New Year’s Eve event in the heart of the city.
To win, simply email me jimcarrollATirishtimesDOTcom (replacing at with @ and dot with .) before 11.59pm tonight with Young Hearts Run Free in the subject line. I’ll select the winner of the tickets at random and notify him/her by email tomorrow morning (ie if you don’t get an email on Fridady morning, you haven’t won). Music from some of the acts playing below.
