Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Worcestershire-based producer exploring the space between the notes on a series of slow-mo jams and bare-bones r’n’b. Both “Don’t Need U” and “Things I’d Do For You” will stop you in their tracks with their mix of sweet and sour nocturnal cosmic vibes and lovelorn small hours vocals.

Shivum Sharma

Anyone who namechecks Anne Briggs, Andre 3000 and Aphex Twin as influences deserves a listen. London teen Shivum Sharma is set to wow many with beautiful tunes like “Flicker” and “Untouched” which catch his smart vocals, minimal panache and compelling pop sensibility.

Let’s Buy Happiness

Newcastle band producing textured, haunting, melancholic indie rock with hooks galore (see “Run” for evidence of same), LBH have been together since 2010 but seem to have had a new lease of life in the last 12 months. Debut album “Chants for Friends” is set for release later in the year.
